What’s Happening
Recently, after successfully completing the 1st ever SURVIVOR DTS on Aore Island, a northern island in Vanuatu, the YWAM Vila team has returned to Port Vila to plug back into the community and reestablish connections and relationships. This is very key to our ministry and calling here in Vanuatu.
Every Sunday, we have started ‘Youth Cafe’ at one of our ministry locations in Freswota 1 , one of the most densely populated communities in Port Vila. It has been a hit!!! We have had as many as 50 young people cruising by for good, wholesome, positive fellowship and encouragement!!! We have continued to run coffee night’s, where we go into needy communities and work with children and young people. We have partnered with Scripture Union for activities and a camp, and have also been helping out at a local school.
Besides this, we have been fundraising to send some of our staff for further training. Overall, we are networking ourselves in the community, building healthy relationships, and connecting at personal levels with those God has called us to.
There are 2 very clear words from the Lord over our ministry. One being, TRAINING CENTER and the other, YOUTH CENTER. The training center will be on Aore Island, and already a SURVIVOR DTS ‘09 is in the works. Please click here for more info.
